Chimney Fire in Colleyville

Colleyville, TX February 15, 2021 22:35 – NETCOM Fire Alarm dispatchers sent crews from Colleyville, Bedford, Keller, and Southlake to fire in a home. An artic blast with ice and snow conditions made for an even more challenging shift. Temperatures were in the single digits with dry snow and ice still on the roads, yards, and roofs. Crews believed the fire started in the chimney. After an initial knockdown, there was still heavy smoke in the attic of the two-story house. Fire broke through the roof. Command pulled crews from the building for a defensive aerial attack from Truck 241. Several handlines were in operation. Truck 241 was able to get the fire back under control, and crews were send back in to finish it off. At some point I believe a 2nd alarm was struck as crews from Haltom City, Hurst, and North Richland Hills arrived. At one point E152 had to come up due to a frozen regulator on an air pack. There are no known injuries.
