Early Morning House Fire in Bedford Fire Service House Fire Incident January 30, 2021January 30, 2021 Bedford, TX – January 29, 2021 00:53 911 Operators received a call from a resident reporting her kitchen was on fire and spreading to the rest of the home. Bedford firefighters and police were dispatched along with automatic-mutual-aid from Euless. At 00:59 Officers arrived, followed shortly by Battalion 15, Truck 151, and EMS 15 with heavy fire showing from the single-story duplex. Truck 151 was assigned to attack. Engine 153 was assigned to open a locked gate for better access. A supply line was hand-jacked to Truck 151. Euless Quint 552 and Battalion 55 arrived. Engine 153 reported heavy contents. Truck 151 reported the bulk of fire knocked down, but heavy fire still above, needing ceiling pulled. Q552 was assigned to assist with attack. Being a duplex, command established Attack “Lucy” and “Ricky”. At 0:13 a primary of Ricky was complete. Chief 154 recommended vertical ventilation on the C/D area of the roof. The heavy content load was challenging, especially in the alpha/delta area. Engine 152, Medic 151, and E153 worked the Charlie side. Air 151 refilled air bottles. Crews gained control of the fire. Command was terminated at 03:44. There are no known injuries.
