2 Alarm House Fire in Colleyville

Colleyville, TX January 21, 2021 21:01 NETCOM Fire Alarm Dispatchers received a call from a homeowner reporting her home on fire, and her husband possibly still inside. Colleyville police and firefighters were dispatched with automatic mutual aid from, Bedford, Keller, and Euless, including: Battalion 24, E243, E242, T241, T581, Bat 58, E152, and M551.


Here are some key moments from playing back some of the radio traffic.
21:05 E242 on scene reporting a large 2 story house with smoke from front, making fast attack. E152 arrived shortly after and began helping.
21:18 Unable to locate and access fire.
21:30 Conditions continued to deteriorate, and command ordered crews to exit the structure, and switch to defensive operations.

21:32 PAR – making sure everyone is accounted for
21:36 Setting up aerials
21:37 Safety reports bravo exposure needs protection
21:41 Battalion 24 request 2nd alarm bringing crew from Hurst, Southlake, Euless, Grapevine, and North Richland Hills.
21:42 Aerial ops starting
21:44 Charlie side reports Delta exposure needs protection
Once the aerial operations were underway, the bulk of the fire was knocked down and the fire eventually brought under control. There are no known injuries or a cause at post time.
