Southlake Welcomes New Ladder

October 19, 2019 09:00 – Southlake Fire Department welcomed their new Pierce Velocity Ascendant 107′ rear mount aerial into service as Ladder 403. The truck equipped with a 500 gallon water tank, 25 gallon foam tank, and and 1500 GPM (I believe) pump replaces Engine 403 at station 3 located at 100 E. Dove, just east of White Chapel. After Chief Starr spoke briefly about the new fire truck, firefighters, family, friends, citizens, and VIPs were invited to help wash the new truck. The kids seem to enjoyed that as much as the doughnuts! Next, everyone was asked to help push Ladder 403 into it’s bay. Shortly after the ceremony, Battalion 40, Trey Porter, placed the apparatus into service with NETCOM alarm.
