Colleyville House Fire with Mayday – 2 Alarm Fire Service House Fire Incident September 13, 2025September 14, 2025 Colleyville, TX September 10, 2025 16:59 NETCOM dispatchers received a call reporting plumbers had caught insulation on fire in a home. Colleyville firefighters along with numerous automatic-mutual-aid were dispatched. Battalion 24 declared a working fire, and on arrival, reported a large two-story, brick residence with heavy brown smoke coming from eves and flames from a 1st story roof. Engine 242 arrived quickly and went to work on fire attack on the first floor, and suggested a 2nd line upstairs. Truck 243 was already making their way to the 2nd floor for primary search and to locate the fire upstairs. I’m not clear on the exact details of what happened next, but conditions deteriorated extremely rapidly injuring Truck 243’s crew of three firefighters, and resulting in a mayday, and 2nd alarm, with a switch to defensive attack after all of the firefighters were out . The entire crew was transported and hospitalized. Two firefighters had been released earlier, and the third was expected to be released any day, as of post time. My thoughts and prayers for the complete, comfortable, and quick recovery of all of the firefighters, and of course for the people who lost their home.
