Colleyville Home Destroyed in Multi-Alarm Fire

Colleyville, TX September 7, 2022 03:01 Firefighters were dispatched to a possible house fire. Units arrived to find a very large house (6400 sqft, $1.3M per Tarrant Appraisal District), with a light haze, visible from the front yard. Once crews were able to get to the back of the home, they reported fire from the back of the house, and what was initially described as an explosion. Afterward, it’s believe the explosion was likely a collapsing roof or sub-floor. Conditions deteriorated quickly, with fire spreading very fast. Crews were ordered out for a defensive exterior attack and protecting exposures. At least 2 alarms were struck with help from numerous neighboring departments, including Bedford, Grapevine, Southlake, Hurst, and possibly others on scene, with coverage likely provided by others. There are no known injuries or a cause at post time. Photos courtesy of Bedford Fire Department.
