2 Alarm Commercial Fire

Bedford, TX – October 22, 2020 04:02 – 911 Dispatchers received an alarm notification for Polycoat Products. Truck 151, Engine 152, and Battalion 15 were dispatched to investigate. Once on scene, crews entered and found fire coming from a commercial oven. Command requested a full alarm assignment, bringing automatic-mutual-aid from Hurst. A spaghetti load was stretched to attack the fire. Most of the fire was knocked down fairly quickly, however there was some extension into the roof. A second alarm was struck bringing mutual aid from several other cities to the scene and to cover other calls. In recent years, there have been other incidents at the facility including another fire and a hazmat call. There were no known injuries. Most of the 2nd alarm companies appear to have remained in staging and the incident was cleared within a few hours.
