2 Alarm Fatality House Fire in Colleyville Fire Service House Fire Incident January 25, 2026January 31, 2026 Colleyville, TX January 24, 2026 As winter weather made its way through the area, NETCOM dispatchers received calls from neighbors reporting a house on fire. Automatic-aid from Bedford and Hurst was dispatched, along with Colleyville police. Officers arrived reporting heavy fire from the front door. Two residents outside stated there were two more people still inside. Despite the wintery mix making driving dangerous, firefighters arrived quickly and went to work, stretching two attack lines to the front of the one story home. The 360 and initial size-up from inside mentioned hoarder conditions, a pool in the backyard and no visibility due to smoke. Command requested a second alarm which brought more firefighters from Euless, North Richland Hills, and likely other departments to assist on scene and covering the city. Crews searched as best they could inside and made an initial attack. Exterior crews searched from windows. Approximately 17 minutes after the first firefighters arrived and the initial interior attack, Bedford Chief 154, acting as safety officer, called emergency traffic for a sagging roof. Command ordered the home evacuated. They quickly transitioned to an exterior attack using a combination of deck gun, handlines, blitz fires, and Truck 241’s master stream. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, they continued searching as best they could in combination with exterior handlines. The Colleyville Citizens Fire Academy Rehab provided support on scene along with Atmos and Oncor. Ultimately and unfortunately, two adults were found deceased. The two residents who made it out had minor injuries and one was transported. The cause of the fire was still under investigation according the most recent news release from Colleyville at post time. The victims, their family, and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. The photos and videos shared here are intended to respectfully highlight the professionalism and compassionate work of first responders. I am very grateful for their efforts.
