Euless 2 Alarm Apartment Fire

Euless, TX – February 28, 2024 – Dispatchers sent firefighters and police to a fire on the balcony of an apartment in the 900 block of W Ash Lane. Automatic-Mutual-Aid was also dispatched from Bedford and Grapevine Fire Departments. Engine 551 reported a header visible prior to arrival. They arrived quickly, reporting heavy fire from the 2nd floor, and pulled an attack line to go to work extinguishing the fire on the exterior, before moving inside. As other fire companies arrived, they were quickly assigned to search & rescue, additional fire attack, and checking for extension. Bedford Engine 152 found fire above them in the attic while searching an adjacent apartment. The apartment’s construction and layout are complex with multiple void spaces and difficult access. Command requested a second alarm to get the fire extinguished. This brought assistance from several surrounding cities, either to the scene or for backfill at Euless stations. There are no known injuries at post time. Several residences were displaced from their homes.
