Woman and Dog Pulled from Euless House Fire Fire Service House Fire Incident December 16, 2021December 16, 2021 Euless, TX December 12, 2021 14:00 Following a chimney fire on the far north side of the city, 911 dispatchers toned out another structure fire with a person reported trapped. Bedford and Grapevine crews responded as mutual-aid. Truck 553 arrived quickly, reporting a single story residence with smoke showing from the garage and attic. They immediately made entry in rescue mode, searching for a bedridden victim. Battalion 55 arrived reporting heavy smoke from the alpha side/front door, and assigned Medic 551(& possibly 553) as attack. Bedford Medic 152 provided patient care after Truck 553 rescued the victim through an alpha side window. Bedford Engine 152 worked on ventilation. Attack made a quick knockdown of the fire in the kitchen and checked for extension in the attic. Quint 552 provided a backup line, and Grapevine provided safety and search. A dog was also rescued from the home. Bedford Air 151 refilled air bottles on scene. The fire was reported out at 14:34. Hurst back filled a station. The fire victim was transported and her condition as well as the cause of the fire are unknown at post time.
