North Richland Hills, TX February 20, 2021 – Dispatchers for North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Haltom City and Watauga worked two back to back fires for North Richland Hills. The first was a fire in the wall of a 2 story apartment in the 6100 block of Glenview, which was believed to be caused by soldering. Everyone has been dealing with broken pipes since the winter storm hit last Sunday. While crews were wrapping up that scene the 2nd fire was dispatched as a house fire on Onyx. Medic 223 arrived first, followed shortly by Haltom City Battalion 47 and Engine 474. Richland Hills assisted and Bedford’s Air 151 responded to refill air bottles. The cause of the house fire is still under investigation, according to an NRHFD post. There are no known injuries. Numerous families were displaced.
