Euless, TX – August 16, 2020 21:00 – Storms blew through the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex causing a flood of calls for downed trees, power lines, lightning strikes and other calls typical during thunderstorms. Euless 911 Operators sent crews from Euless, Grapevine, and Bedford to work a house fire on the north side of their city. Smoke was showing when Euless FD arrived, and they quickly went to work to knock down the fire. Grapevine Engine 4 and Battalion 1 assisted on scene. Bedford helped answer other calls in Euless and responded to the fire with Air 151 to refill air bottles. There were no known injures at post time. The lightning strike in the photos was not the one that started this fire, but one of many images captured while driving around with a GoPro on the dashboard.
