Bedford welcomes new apparatus into service. Ceremony Community Fire Service Traditions June 10, 2020June 10, 2020 June 10, 2020 10:00, Bedford, TX – Bedford Fire Department held a scaled back (due to Covid-19 pandemic), wet-down/push-in ceremony for their new Engine 152 and Truck 151. Both are made by Spartan ERV. Chief Sean Fay spoke about the tradition of the ceremony and importance of the new apparatus, followed by former Chief and Chaplain, Steve Bass. After the blessing everyone was invited to help wash down the trucks and push them into Station 1, one after the other. Although in service for a couple of weeks, Truck 151 made it’s first fire just hours before the ceremony. Engine 152 has been in service for a couple months.
