Fatality Fire in Sansom Park

September 14, 2019 – Sansom Park and Tarrant County Fire Alarm dispatchers sent police and fire crews to house fire in Sansom Park after 911 callers(children playing in the area) reported the fire. The home and Sansom Park Fire Station 25 are located within sight of each other. Engine 25 reported a working fire as they left their station. Moments later they went to work on scene reporting people trapped, and requested a 2nd alarm. Fire departments from River Oaks, Lake Worth, Fort Worth Naval Air Station, Saginaw, White Settlement, and Azle worked the fire along with Medstar, Police, Oncor, Atmos, The American Red Cross, and CareFlite.

There were 4 victims (1 green, 1 yellow, 1 red, and 1 black). One was flown by CareFlite to Parkland’s Burn Center in Dallas. Tarrant County Fire Marshal was requested to investigate.
